In a high It seems like nothing could ever beat you In the low We want every, little thing to be solved in a mantra Vasco da Gama Did he sit in still or did he explore the ways of the water? In a lie It seems like everything is perfect But we all die Leaving wreckage to hearts that deny it What are you hiding? What are you hiding from me? Follow me Said the one who talks While the silent observer read the thought Follow me Into the void Drink the sun gin to warm again the voice And the truth Oh, how I want to know the truth So in my youth I trusted all the fucking rules But now I'm here Trusting nothing but The self I made The patterns interlace But don't take, don't take My levity Follow me Said the one who talks While the silent observer read the thought Follow me Into the void Drink the sun gin to warm again the voice There are demons sleeping There are demons sleeping There are demons sleeping Under your skin No, you dare not wake them No, you dare not wake them No, you dare not wake them Or a hell you're in Whoa! There are demons sleeping There are demons sleeping There are demons sleeping Under your skin No, you dare not wake them No, you dare not wake them No, you dare not wake them Or a hell you're in Whoa! Honey 05:14
Light come fill my heart Fill it up with stars And take me towards the sun Cause, honey, that's what you are Take no money Corruption's honey Take no money Am I still alive? Did my mind grow quiet? Will I find my way? Through the thick, black dark of space Honey, light my path with grace Until I find a better place With you With you Dark come fill it all Be the space for my art Make me like the moon Another dead rock Embark Take the money Production's honey Go on, take the money Am I still alive? Did my mind grow quiet? Will I find my way? Through the thick, black dark of space Honey, light my path with grace Until I find a better place With you With you With you With you

Darling Dear 03:34
Darling dear Don't waste your time I'm not giving in Darling dear Don't patronize I am heaven sent This is your exit sign This is your exit sign My love it's true that I'm no longer in love with you Though this was hard to say It's true that I'm no longer in love with you Through darkness find my way Darling dear Please, save your breath I take all I get Darling dear You'll need the rest Heavy innocence This is your exit sign This is your exit sign My love it's true that I'm no longer in love with you Though this was hard to say It's true that I'm no longer in love with you Through darkness find my way It's true that I'm no longer in love with you Though this was hard to say It's true that I'm no longer in love with you Through darkness find my way It's true that I'm no longer in love with you Though this was hard to say It's true that I'm no longer in love with you Through darkness find my way

Be the witness of your mind See the secrets Let 'em out There is nothing You can hide from That would keep me from you I was feeling more myself The night you asked me Who I was I wish I told you then How good it felt to know I'm not alone There's a light Right behind Filling up your brown eyes I thought the truth A lonely curse But in common tongues We speak beyond Like the wind Passing through our lungs I love you dear For irrational reasons Be the whisper In the crowd Let your things turn to muck Silver spoon in hand Will rust before we take the alter Follow footsteps Through the hall Hear the clock counting down May the winner of the world Give it up for some strange love There's a light Right behind Filling up your brown eyes I thought the truth A lonely curse But in common tongues We speak beyond Like the wind Passing through our lungs I love you dear For irrational reasons

Greenfoot 04:37
Hum di da dum di da dum da die Let my spirit guide Hum di da dum di da dum da die Let my spirit fly Into the wilderness I ride With greenfoot to lead my mind Into the darkness we will fly Let my spirit guide Can you see the way we dance Clinging neatly to the Earth? Till we all become the plants Through the fertile soil and hearth Can you see our mother drown In the sadness of the world? Knowing we are only ants In the pastures of our dearth Through the grass I feel my feet Grounding deeply to the Earth Through my spine I feel the heat Connecting all the world Can you see the way we dance Clinging neatly to the Earth? Till we all become the plants Through the fertile soil and hearth Through the grass I feel my feet Grounding deeply to the Earth Through my spine I feel the heat Connecting all the world Can you see the way we dance Clinging neatly to the Earth? Till we all become the plants Through the fertile soil and hearth Through the fertile soil and hearth Through the fertile soil and hearth We are fertile soil and hearth We are fertile soil and hearth

about

Diamond Demons is the first EP released by Deacon Free. It blends 5 songs written over the last few years. The title track, Diamond Demons, weaves a trail between extremities that attempts to unearth a tendency of modern thought. Honey, an acoustically driven tune with church organ type swells, finds a similar vein, but focuses on the unknowing qualities of life. Darling Dear is a '70s style rock song that is followed by Irrational Reasons which has elements of reggae. The EP closes with Greenfoot, a song with a somewhat haunting intro that morphs into a jazz and funk inspired beat. The lyrics suggest a focus on the inevitability and cyclical nature of dying.

This album was entirely recorded and mixed by the bandmates themselves. We'd like to thank all that were involved in creating this project!
